@Rightn2Parabola for the rust solution. You might find it at a home renovation shop. A few years ago I found a rust making kit much like this kit in the video in there specialty department. Grant it it was for making picture frames and such look old. It might be worth a look, you never know what you might find.
Nice job. I think you might want to try something to give more of a sunbaked bleaching of the glossy enamel paint. Same thing for the glossy plastic windows. Maybe a really watered down white paint? Keep up the great work!
Awesome work! I finally got some of that sophisticated finishes, you inspired me to try it out on my 55 chevy 1:24 scale Great vid!
is there any way i can do this to my car, its remote controlled, i made it myself and the bodys made of metal and i would love to make it look like that
yay mid 50s cehv truck! I built 1 before LOL
Would just droping the model in the solution work too?
this is pretty neat!
How do I get that rust and steel solution? I looked at my local pat catans, and hobby shop.. They only carry rust color paints….
thanks for this matey, will have a dabble myself and post the results,
cool work thank you for sharing.
Fail. not realistic.
nice collection man. i want to start a collection of my own. if anyone has any unused model cars that they dont want anymore please let me know.
dang .. ur good !
looks good man looks authentic
Rust needs to be in scale…in reality, rust is only a fraction of an inch thick, so in 1/24 scale it needs to be wicked thin, as well as everything else on the truck
Looks really good
please get them down, id love to see them!!!
great addvice. i used to heat up the bodies with a candle from the inside, them smash with another car to make smash up derby cars. i wish i had youtube when i was a kid. i took first in the county fair year after year, but never seen anything like this. keep up the good work. maybe ill get my boxes out of the attic.
good job but i cant blieve u did that 2 a perfectly good 55′ chevy lol
That’s great, nice job! I’m gonna try that on my next model! =)
