My First Attempt at Duracoat
I had planned on recording step by step well I started and after cleaning my shotgun I forgot to record myself doing the Duracoat prep as well as the start of my spraying. I only did the action and the barrel I had a barrel shroud on it (you can see it on the towel) but I decided not to put it back on after coating. I also forgot to shoot the mag extender (I will do that the next time I coat something). This was a fun project! I had to actually buy an air compressor (been meaning to anyway) because I ran out of the canned propellant, As you can hardly see (if at all) the spray in the video…… That’s when I remembered to start spraying it again!

I have an air compressor but I used the air in a can that came with it for the first coat or two and when that ran out (the air was almost gone in the vid hence why you can’t see the spray) but I used the compressor for the rest. It was a lot better!! I got the starter kit so I didn’t want to wast it

Nope, no need to bake. Just spay and let dry. I mixed it in my house and that made it smell pretty much like paint thinner however next time I will do it in the garage.

Hey I’m curious if you baked it in the oven? And if so did it make your house stink? Thanks, and nice work.
