I heard the turbos in the new V8’s were cracking when they were to hot after doing a water crossings. How great would that be stuck up the top end of Australia in the middle of no where with a cracked turbo??
Any advice people cause I am sitting here on my wireless laptop computer with a cracked turbo and I forgot to pack some water…
a vhf would be better for mountains because of the high frequency wich means it can travel further
Ya and did u c in the video how little the holes where that he was going through???? The bigger the better
What are the best things I have done to my car ?
1) Marks low range transfer case gears.
2) Roberts Diff Locks
3) Custom Kaymar rear bar.
You don’t need great big nor expensive tyres to get traction. Traction comes from good suspension and diff locks.
Did you see in the video how the tyres almost hit the suspension ?

Nice wagon … I’m looking at getting meself one for travelling round Oz
Nice set up. I’m a relative newbie to the Land Cruiser realm. I own 2 80 series turbo diesel cruisers with 1-HDT engines. One for the family truckster and one for off roading on the northern end of Okinawa here in the Japan island chain.
Do you really need all that gear on your 4×4?
seems like to much to me.
